Ms. Harris Professional Mission statement I.S. 303 6-122:
My mission as a 6th grade teacher is to teach and share communal respect. I aim to teach
and support my students in their lives and to meet their intellectual and emotional needs. I strive
to promote independent, critical thinkers who work as team players and group members to
support each other's instructional and personal goals. I plan all lessons with intent and
backwards design for learning in order to begin with the end in mind. I support all students
through differentiated activities and scaffolded work to help students meet their goals. Students
learning, personal and educational growth is at the forefront of our classroom goals.
